JOBS & TRAINEESHIPS

Thanks to its professionally-oriented structure, the Master in European Studies  has been an effective springboard both for those who seek their first experience in project design and management, and those who wish to strengthen their competencies in these fields. During the second and the third part of the course, students frequently meet European experts, advisors and lobbyists, and are thus rapidly able to build contacts with a view to post-Master's career prospects.

During and after the course, the European Desk of the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce introduces candidates to a variety of traineeship and job opportunities in Brussels, opportunities which allow participants to put into practice the knowledge acquired in the programme.
Typically, the tasks of a traineeship may include: research of project partners, management of information networks, compiling information about European programmes, support  for project management, drafting and editing of reports, and so on.
As an incentive to participants, the trainee and the host organisation are given the option of entering into a traineeship agreement with the European Desk of the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce, which takes in charge the candidate's insurance during the length of the traineeship. Some host organisations also provide additional financial support to the trainees.

The Job Link Module

During the Master course, a job link module is organised, which helps the participants as they search for a traineeship or an employment position, providing them with advice for application and for writing their CVs. During this module, the students receive personalised advice related to their profiles, as well as contact lists for self-presentations.

The CV Book

Moreover, with every 'edition' of the course, participants are invited to provide their profile for publication in the 'CV book' that is sent to hundreds of European organisations, not only in Brussels but also throughout Europe. This book serves organisations that provide traineeship or job opportunities, and makes it convenient for organisations to directly contact the candidates who have made their details available in this printed resource.
